But are all these Corona "fans" sure they really know him? Have they read his books or only watch him on TV? I understand that those who watch TV are brainless and illiterate but before going around you could stop for a moment to reflect and inform yourself... first of all you can't expect a warm welcome from a simple person born and raised in a mountain village, who claims that she doesn't like dealing with people, that to talk to them she has to get courage etc.. secondly going to bother them right at her house means going looking for her, she's not an animal for show or a clown who has to satisfy every whim of those who no longer have even a neuron because it's burned out by the TV... it takes respect and knowledge, especially when you travel and want to know a place, its history and who lives there, why visit Erto only because of Corona or the Vajont disaster it means not having understood anything at all and therefore perhaps it is better to wander around shopping centers for hours buying useless things and spending hours in front of the TV
Super
It's not a shop, it's his personal laboratory, so forget about being able to go in and browse, a bar at the entrance with the words private property will remove any doubts about it.
I then saw him interact with 2 I presume fans who asked him for an autograph on one of his books, treated with great indolence, true that it was around midday and perhaps he was eating or preparing lunch, however I did not see the slightest hint of a smile, he seemed clearly annoyed. I was with my wife outside the laboratory, she wanted to approach him and say hello, but given his indolence we preferred to leave it alone. Before thinking about going there and having a convivial experience, think about it.
If you don't love people, despite living there, you are in strong contradiction, given that people have enriched you, set up your own workshop (here it says shop, which would mean that it should have opening hours and that everyone could come in to make purchases) in a secluded place, and not in the square where you seem to enjoy telling them all to go to hell, including me. The works are exhibited outside, are you selling them or not?
I am a carpenter, a sculptor, I have a history as a solitary mountaineer, I have lived in the woods and I thought I had some affinities to share, bringing him a bottle of my olive oil as a gift.
Instead of crude dodging gestures, it didn't take much to waste a minute of your time for a quick greeting.
I think the notoriety is hurting you quite a bit.
Like many others, I left feeling bitter.
I think that your attitude is ultimately the effect of the shocking devastation that can be seen around there and of the syndrome of abandonment of the mountains and the earth in general.
I happened by chance near his shop. Many and very particular wooden sculptures. He left the laboratory. Same, same as you see on TV. Sleeveless t-shirt, hat, etc. He did not want to be photographed.
I didn't go in but the beautiful confusion outside makes him even more of a myth... we caught a glimpse of him smoking his nice cigar and he greeted us, he was inside the shop... not far from the wooden creatures perhaps made by him that surround a staircase that seems infinite...it's a shame the museum is closed in front...I'll be back
I passed by by chance and realized that it was his shop because Google asked me to review it. I had fun reading the negative reviews, I admit. This man is a human being like all of us. My solidarity goes to him as it comes naturally to me to empathize with lone wolves. I understand if you don't want to take photos and sign postcards acca twenty-four. People are convinced that if you are a well-known person then you necessarily owe something to your fans. He doesn't owe you anything. It doesn't have to smile at you or make you happy. You have to take it for what it is. You must take the good that he has done for you and let it be without demanding.
We were in the area for work, we decided to extend the route to go to Erto in order to meet Mr. Corona who is nothing like a gentleman. He proved to be a rude mountain man who thinks he is a high-level VIP, presumptuous to the core. I understand that due to his "fame and eternal glory" he is often surrounded by his fans who ask for photos or dedications in books, but here we are bordering on levels of ridiculousness. In addition to having behaved in a decidedly unpleasant manner with a boy of around 13/15 years old who simply wanted to take a photo with him, after a long controversy he agreed by turning up his nose. After this scene, I honestly only intended to shake his hand and at least say hello, but he proved to be very arrogant and ran away pretending not to see who was in front of him. Imagine, we went to the restaurant specifically to hope to meet him since we always follow him on TV... since we were walking around with the van and the goods, I had also prepared a gift to give him, but he really is an arrogant lout. Never again, be wary of how you see it on TV.
